Consultation Terms

These terms apply to a paid initial consultation booked through BIG STEP Migration and Education Consultants Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Booking a consultation means you accept these terms.

Your consultation is with a registered migration agent. Our Migration Agent Registration Number (MARN) is 2619611. You can confirm it on the public register of the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) at mara.gov.au.

We offer two paid initial consultations, priced by length: a 20-minute consultation ($110) and a 40-minute consultation ($180). The fee is shown and confirmed before you pay. We do not charge a surcharge for paying by card or by any other method. This fee is for our time and professional guidance during the session - it is separate from any government visa application charge and from any professional fee for ongoing casework.

The 20-minute consultation runs for 20 minutes and the 40-minute consultation runs for 40 minutes - by phone, video call or in person (your choice, subject to availability). If we need more time on the day, we'll let you know before continuing.

• A discussion of your circumstances and goals
• An honest explanation of which visa pathways may be realistic for you - and which are not
• Answers to your questions in plain English
• A general outline of next steps, likely timeframes and costs

A consultation is general guidance, not a formal written assessment, and it is not a guarantee of any visa outcome - no registered migration agent can promise a result, and we never do.

If you decide to engage us for ongoing assistance with your matter within 14 days of your consultation, we credit the consultation fee against our professional fee for that matter. Any professional fee for ongoing work is agreed with you in writing, separately, before we start.

As a courtesy, we send a reminder by text message (SMS) and email at around 4pm (AWST) the day before your booked consultation, using the phone number and email address you provided when booking. This reminder is sent in English only.
